For a properly fitted collar, use the "two finger rule": Once the collar is fastened, you should be able to easily slide two fingers between the collar and neck. The collar should feel snug, but not tight.

Beautiful hand made collar and tag

This is my second purchase of the beautiful collar in small with heart tag, but this time in a beautiful red color. It is if the highest quality. The embossed name in gold looks fantastic. My sweet minipoodle looks so handsome with this simple yet elegant collar and tag. The heart is the cutest with his name! These are the only collars I use!
